CyberGuard investigation services

Investigate the concern. Document what the evidence supports.

Each engagement starts with a specific business question and an agreed scope. The work may draw on public information, material you are authorized to provide, or expressly authorized testing.

1

Digital

Suspicious website & phishing investigations

We review suspicious websites, questionable links, impersonation attempts, and suspected phishing campaigns. Public domain and infrastructure indicators, visible website behavior, and the messages you provide help us document warning signs and potential risk.

Digital exposure & open-source intelligence

We research publicly accessible information associated with a business, domain, or authorized target. A review may identify exposed infrastructure, public breach disclosures, suspicious domains, and digital assets that could create security risk.

With the owner's written authorization, we assess named networks, servers, and connected systems for exposed services, configuration weaknesses, outdated software, and potential vulnerabilities. We prioritize verified findings and explain practical remediation steps.

What clients receive

A report your team can use.

The exact deliverables depend on the written scope. An investigation report may include:

Findings and evidence

  • Executive summary of findings
  • Documented evidence, source references, and capture dates
  • Identified threats, vulnerabilities, or exposure indicators

Risk and next steps

  • Risk severity and potential business impact where supportable
  • Recommended corrective actions and priorities
  • Follow-up assessment or ongoing protection options
Professional standards & transparent scope. Active testing, network scanning, system access, and on-site investigations require appropriate authorization. CyberGuard does not perform unauthorized access, intrusive surveillance, or work outside an approved engagement. Consultation and specialized investigation fees are established in a written scope of work. Remote scans, phishing simulations, and monthly protection have separately published plans.

Eligible assessment reports can include a CyberGuard Business Trust Score™. See a redacted sample report.

How it works

A clear scope before the work begins.

1

2

Agree on the scope

We confirm authority, sources, methods, deliverables, timeline, and fee in writing.

3

Investigate and verify

We document the evidence, check material findings, and distinguish facts from leads.

4

Receive the report

You get the agreed findings and recommended actions. Follow-up work has its own scope.

Posted-price services

Scans and protection plans

These services have published prices. An investigation or on-site assessment is quoted separately after a consultation.

Cyber plus physical pairs a remote scan and Trust Score with a site survey, in one report. The scan keeps its posted price. The survey is a separate written scope. Link check is available before you hire anyone.

Questions

Before you call.

How is the fee set?

Remote scans, phishing drills, and monthly plans have posted prices. Investigations, operational briefs, field assessments, and counsel-directed research are quoted in a written scope before work starts.

Do you come to the site?

A field day covers the site named in the scope. Travel is part of that scope. Remote scans run nationwide without a visit.

Do I have to buy a monthly plan afterward?

No. A scan report is yours to keep, and monthly protection is optional. A scoped investigation ends when its agreed deliverables are provided.

Can a lawyer hire CyberGuard?

Yes. Research for counsel or a client begins with a defined question, authorized sources, agreed recipients, and a written scope.

What will CyberGuard not do?

Work outside the written scope. Covert surveillance. Pretexting. Access to a building, network, or account without permission from the owner.

What if we already have a Trust Score?

Bring it. Cyber plus physical can pair that grade with a site survey in one report. The survey still needs its own written scope.

What should I have ready?

Describe the concern, the business or site involved, who can authorize the work, and any relevant messages, documents, or existing CyberGuard report. Do not send sensitive evidence through the appointment notes; we will arrange a suitable transfer method if needed.
